Lorna Tawhiti (Ngāi Te Rangi, Waikato Tainui) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice is guided by intuition, spirituality, and a deep connection to indigenous storytelling. Born in South Auckland in 1970 and raised in Australia, she returned to Aotearoa in the early 1990s, where her creative journey truly began to flourish. With more than 30 years of experience including 17 years specialising in custom art and tattoo design, Lorna weaves together painterly and digital elements to form a distinctive visual language. Her works explore identity, the natural world and cultural reconnection expressed through an ethereal, otherworldly lens that invites reflection and emotional resonance.
